The Brewers exploded for eight runs in the fifth inning, while Jackson Chourio collected four hits and rookie pitcher Robert Gasser delivered six scoreless innings. Milwaukee has now won eight consecutive postseason games, putting together one of October's most dominant performances. The Brewers are overwhelming favorites at -5000, compared with +1500 for Tampa Bay, according to DraftKings. Week 7 of the 2026 NFL season delivered major upsets, dramatic finishes and a shakeup among the league's Super Bowl contenders, as two undefeated teams suffered their first losses. The biggest surprises came when Atlanta stunned San Francisco 29-20, forcing four turnovers and ending the 49ers' perfect season. Seattle delivered an equally impressive performance, dominating previously unbeaten Kansas City 20-3, holding Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs' explosive offense without a touchdown. Minnesota remained the NFL's only undefeated team at 6-0, defeating Indianapolis 16-10 behind another outstanding defensive performance. Cincinnati also made a statement, overcoming a 13-point deficit to crush Baltimore 35-13, with Joe Burrow throwing four second-half touchdowns. Detroit edged Green Bay 20-17 on a last-second field goal, while the Giants surprised Houston 27-21 in overtime. Chicago continued its strong season, defeating New England 30-24 to improve to 5-2. Meanwhile, Dallas closed the week with a convincing 38-21 victory over Philadelphia, as Dak Prescott threw three touchdowns and Javonte Williams rushed for 155 yards. The loss marked Philadelphia's fifth consecutive defeat. Heading Into Week 8: Minnesota stands alone as the NFL's last undefeated team, while San Francisco and Kansas City remain serious Super Bowl contenders despite their first losses. Buffalo, Denver, Chicago and Pittsburgh continue to position themselves as playoff threats, while Cincinnati's impressive comeback has added intrigue to the AFC North race. Meanwhile, Philadelphia's five-game losing streak has become one of the league's biggest disappointments, and the pressure continues to mount on Houston and several struggling teams. Seven weeks into the season, the playoff picture is beginning to take shape, but with the last two AFC and NFC heavyweights finally falling, the race to Super Bowl LXI looks more wide open than ever. College football delivered another wild weekend as seven ranked teams suffered defeats, including three Top 10 programs. With the playoff race tightening, Week 8 proved that no contender is safe. The biggest upset came in Orlando, where UCF Knights stunned No. 2 BYU Cougars 39–31 in double overtime. South Carolina stunned Tennessee 27–24, Minnesota upset Iowa 13–10, and Wisconsin dominated USC 24–7. At the top, No. 1 Miami Hurricanes crushed Pittsburgh 52–23. Quarterback Darian Mensah threw for 387 yards and four touchdowns, while Malachi Toney delivered an incredible 16 receptions, 194 yards and three touchdowns. Indiana survived Michigan 13–6 in overtime, and UCLA remained unbeaten with a 28–10 victory over Michigan State. The October 25 AP poll features a reshuffled Top 5: 1. Miami (7–0) | 2. Ohio State (6–1) | 3. Georgia (6–1) | 4. Indiana (7–1) | 5. Notre Dame (6–1), Utah climbs to No. 6, UCLA reaches No. 7, and BYU tumbles six spots to No. 8. Miami, Utah and UCLA are now the only three undefeated FBS teams remaining. Heading into Week 9: October 31 brings another pivotal weekend. No. 2 Ohio State travels to USC, No. 3 Georgia faces No. 17 Florida, and No. 13 Texas Tech hosts No. 22 Arizona. Miami visits North Carolina looking to preserve its perfect season.
