In the East, the defending champion New York Knicks aim to repeat, with Philadelphia, Boston, and Miami looking to challenge. Out West, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets remain dangerous, while Anthony Edwards and Minnesota hope to take the next step. Our prediction: Expect Oklahoma City and San Antonio to battle for Western Conference supremacy, with the Knicks leading the East. The Milwaukee Brewers are heading to the World Series! After finishing the regular season with MLB's best record (10359), Milwaukee completed a stunning 40 NLCS sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers, ending their pursuit of a third consecutive championship. The Brewers rallied from a 40 deficit Thursday night to win 64, securing their first World Series appearance since 1982. Milwaukee now awaits the American League champion. American League Championship Series: The Cleveland Guardians lead the Tampa Bay Rays 21 after Thursday's dramatic 32 victory, highlighted by Petey Halpin's two-run homer. Cleveland has won five of its last six playoff games and is now favored to advance, with DraftKings listing the Guardians at -190 and Tampa Bay at +160 to win the ALCS. World Series Outlook: Milwaukee is now the team to beat. With the Dodgers eliminated, the Brewers are the only team guaranteed a World Series appearance. Cleveland has the advantage in the ALCS, although Tampa Bay remains dangerous. Current verified World Series futures prices were not available, so no championship odds are quoted here. Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season delivered dramatic finishes, major upsets and impressive performances, with San Francisco and Minnesota remaining undefeated. The 49ers improved to 5-0 after a thrilling 32-29 victory over Seattle, with Mike Evans contributing 113 receiving yards and a touchdown. Minnesota also stayed perfect at 5-0, defeating New Orleans 23-13 behind an efficient performance from Kyler Murray. One of the biggest surprises came in London, where Jacksonville stunned Philadelphia 19-17 on a last-second field goal, handing the Eagles their third consecutive loss. Green Bay dominated Chicago 31-7, while New England crushed Las Vegas 45-17, with Drake Maye throwing for 374 yards. Buffalo closed the week with an exciting 37-34 overtime victory over the Rams, as Josh Allen rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown. Detroit also impressed, beating Arizona 45-21, while Kansas City had the week off. Heading Into Week 6: San Francisco and Minnesota stand alone at 5-0, establishing themselves as the NFL's early frontrunners. Kansas City remains a major AFC contender at 4-0, while Buffalo bounced back to 4-1. Jacksonville continues to emerge as a legitimate playoff threat at 4-1, while Baltimore is also 4-1. Meanwhile, Philadelphia's three-game losing streak raises serious concerns, and Chicago must rebound from an ugly divisional loss. At the bottom, Miami, Tennessee and the Chargers remain winless at 0-5, putting their seasons in serious jeopardy. Five weeks in, the contenders are separating themselves, but the unpredictable nature of the NFL continues to make every Sunday worth watching. CFB Week 6 delivered the biggest shakeup of the 2026 college football season, with No. 1 Texas falling, Georgia taking control of the national championship conversation, and several ranked teams suffering stunning upsets. The biggest shock came in the Red River Rivalry, where unranked Oklahoma stunned No. 1 Texas 2724 on Tate Sandells 47-yard field goal as time expired. Arch Manning threw two costly interceptions, sending the Longhorns tumbling to No. 7 in the new AP poll. Meanwhile, Georgia made its case for the top spot, defeating No. 6 Alabama 2017 in Tuscaloosa to remain undefeated and claim the new No. 1 ranking. The upsets continued as No. 21 UCLA shocked No. 13 Oregon 1715, Kentucky edged No. 10 LSU 3534 in overtime, and South Carolina crushed No. 16 Florida 3819. Notre Dame dominated Stanford 587, Ohio State rolled Maryland 4516, and defending national champion Indiana survived Nebraska 2017 to remain unbeaten. Heading into Week 7: The new AP Top 5 features Georgia, Notre Dame, Miami, Ohio State and Indiana, with Alabama holding No. 6 despite its loss. Texas drops to No. 7, while undefeated UCLA jumps to No. 12. With Florida and Oregon falling completely out of the rankings, the playoff picture is changing rapidly. Georgia now looks like the team to beat, but with conference competition intensifying, the road to the College Football Playoff promises plenty more surprises.
